Dr. Handy, is a licensed audiologist. She received her Doctor of Audiology and Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida. Currently, she practices as a clinical audiologist and as a university instructor. Dr. Handy has also had the opportunity to be a guest speaker on The Birth Ease Podcast and for undergraduate student organizations. 

Dr. Handy's passion for audiology stems from wanting to improve the quality of life of those with a hearing impairment, reduce the barriers caused by communication breakdowns from hearing loss and educate individuals about the impacts hearing loss can have on those with a hearing disability. After having a home birth, Dr. Handy realized there was a need to provide newborn hearing screenings for those who had births at birth centers or at home.

As a native Floridian, Dr. Handy loves to spend time with her family and friends during her free time. Furthermore, she enjoys traveling, outdoor activities (walking, jogging, and rollerblading), reading and having new experiences.
